The first Cooperation Agreement between the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed.
Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Romania- Oman organized on November 7, 2013 first bilateral Business Forum, Romania – Oman, held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, marked by the signing of two presidents of the National Chambers of Commerce of the Agreement for Cooperation.
Romanian companies representatives , Adrem Invest, Confind, Siveco Romania, TMUCB S.A., UPET S.A. and Zyraxes were joined by representatives of leading companies of Oman such as: National Bank of Oman, Petroleum Development Oman, Shanfari Group, The Zubair Corporation, Suhail Bahwan Group, AlKonji Group, Malik Al Hudaifi Business Group, Muscat Overseas, Hasan Juma Backer, Al Mutahidha Transport Company, Ofsat Limited, Bin Salim Enterprises, Eastern Overseas, Rees Oil and Gas Services, Jawad Sultan Technologies, Green Cover, Al-Azure National Co LLC, Mudhaher Establishment and others. All these companies showed a keen interest in the Romanian business environment, being eager to learn more about the investment opportunities in Romania .
E. S. Khalil bin Abdullah of Khonji, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Gulf Cooperation Council , emphasized the Sultanate 's strategic position in the Indian Ocean , which improves economic role in the region of Oman , Oman port project rail , connecting all GCC countries that will facilitate the transport of goods.
Contribution of the Honorary President of the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Romania -Oman, Dr.Adil Al Shanfari , Vice Chairman and CEO of Shanfari Group of Companies , has made the efforts of the Bilateral Chambers of Commerce lead to achieving this goal.
"We are confident that this agreement is not only ceremonial ,but it means accomplishing profitable economic exchanges between Romanian and Oman businessmen, developing and sustaining business relationships " stated Cristian Dan Danescu , Chairman of the Romania – Oman Chamber of Commerce .
